WAKINYAN
Wakinyan, Elder of the Ohanzee Clan
Wakinyan is the Lakota Sioux word for Thunderbird. Legend holds that Wakinyan travels the western wind protecting people from Waziya, the north wind. Wakinyan is said to produce thunder by speaking, and casts lightning from his eyes by merely blinking. No doubt, these are stories that the Fae, Wakinyan, enjoys and helped to perpetuate. The third Fae to exist, Wakinyan is immensely powerful. Aligned to Fire, Wakinyan is feared by many Fae, and respected by all, even Ozara. Called the fierce one, he formed a bond with Tse-xo-be and has remained a devoted friend and trusted advisor though the epochs.
Like all Fire aligned Fae, Wakinyan is driven by passion and is brutal when crossed. He is known to take the form of an immense black bird, a towering Sasquatch, and that of a huge human male. Dismissive of most humans, and less comfortable with waiting for the opportune time to retake the Weald, Wakinyan is devoted to the Ohanzee and has followed the decisions of the other Elders. Nonetheless, conflict with those who occupy Ohanzee land is coming, and Wakinyan is biding his time to inflict himself upon his enemies |
