Ronnie Mashburn:  Funny most of the time, charming when he wants to be, and always looking to get a reaction out of the people around him, Ronnie took to Maggie immediately.   Ronnie is another local teen who grew up in Eureka.   His big personality hides a difficult home life.  Ronnie realized he was gay at a very young age, and that hasn’t set well with his conservative working-class parents.  Their relationship is cool at the best of times, volatile at others.   The green-eyed teen gets along well with his classmates; his well-timed and biting verbal jabs keep people laughing, and he’s quite attractive, a trait not lost anyone, especially Ronnie.   Maggie develops a keen friendship with Ronnie, and is rewarded by getting to know the real guy behind the humorous veneer.  

Life-long friends with Candace and Rachel, his best friend is Doug Monroe, who is his staunchest defender, even standing between Ronnie and his father when they nearly came to blows.    Maggie learns to count on Ronnie when she needs some levity.
