Rhonda Adair:  Her best friends describe her as difficult.  The youngest of two children from one of Eureka’s prominent families, Rhonda has always been the center of attention, and she doesn’t react well when anyone else garners a little of the spotlight.   Attractive and quite popular at Eureka Springs High School, Rhonda rarely has to compete with other kids her age.  She overshadows her friends.  One of her best friends in the tiny school, Rachel, is too timid to assert herself, and Rhonda's other best friend, Candace, sees vying for attention as beneath her, though she doesn’t begrudge Rhonda for seeking center stage.   Rhonda and Maggie have a strained relationship from the offset, while neither cares much for the other, they have in common Rachel and Candace.   When Doug begins pursuing Maggie, Rhonda drops any pretense of civility.   While both Rhonda and Maggie would prefer not having any contact with the other, Eureka is a small town, and the Fae see to it that their paths frequently cross.
