Gavin Byrne, of the Seelie Clan, a Fire aligned Fae, came into existence over 147,000 years ago. Though quite young by Fae standards, little more than a child compared to some, he immediately caught the attention of every Fae he encountered. Despite their own predilection with beauty, Gavin’s universal and bewildering appeal in his natural form became something of a legend among Faekind. His remarkable beauty in Naeshura, however, did nothing to prepare Fae or human for the affect he would have on both species when he took physical form.
The object of desire for any who have seen him, Gavin’s inner beauty—a strange magnetism, a keen intellect, and a warm and compassionate nature—has only augmented his physical beauty. His fiery determination and uncanny ability with the elements have made him much stronger than many Fae who have existed hundreds of millennia longer, adding greatly to his allure. Despite the constant attention over the ages, Gavin has led a mostly solitary existence, frequently seeking seclusion from Fae and human alike. Some Fae have speculated that it is his curse to exist without ever knowing a true companion. |
Like all Fae, Gavin is capable of taking any physical form he wishes, but he is content with just one: a young human male. He originally aligned himself with the Olympians, an ancient clan of Fae who inhabited the Mediterranean region. The basis for the legendary Adonis, Gavin grew weary of Zeus’ desire to be worshiped by mortals and joined the Seelie clan two thousand three hundred years ago. Repulsed by anguish and suffering, he devoted himself to the Seelie cause and has diligently fought to protect mankind from the Unseelie at every turn, lending his considerable talents with the Fire element whenever needed.
