Chloe Fontaine: Candace's mother
Brilliant, Chloe Fontaine is also a bit jaded, but desperately trying not to be. She is a former attorney turned local shop-keeper. Giving up her legal practice in an effort to make a living helping people, at least how she defines helping people, Chloe is a bit soothsayer, a bit healer, and a bit philosopher. She enjoys reading about mysticism, homeopathic healing, and everything else left of center—she’s a perfect fit in Eureka. Intuitive and tenacious, qualities that her daughter, Candace, has in spades, Chloe has more than a casual interest in the O’Shea estate. Well versed in local legends, Chloe’s interest in the Weald is an old one, and that has a huge influence on Candace. When Candace becomes friends with Maggie, Chloe encourages Candace’s own investigation into the property where so many bizarre occurrences and tragic accidents have occurred over the last two centuries. Unaware of the real risks, Chloe may learn to regret that decision. |
